Hi, i measured up for new pushrods today (new engine, haven't any old ones)
    and they came out at
    10.540" inlet and 11.400" exhaust
This is in a stage 7 KB with a raised cam (.250") Dart twin plug heads, stage 5 rockers
just wondered if this is in the ballpark of what you guys are running
    Cheers,
    Wayne:D

Wayne, the only way to know for sure is to assemble the motor and put the rocker arms on and adjust them to the cold lash specs and see how much the screw adjuster is out from being all the way in. Jesel say they like there adjusters anywhere from a half to one and a half turns out. I find that you have to be real careful if they are at only a half turn. I like one to one and a half turns out on the adjuster screw. If you go too far out on the adjuster screw then the side loading can be too great on the rocker arm and it will crack around the threaded part.

Thanks Mike, i wound them out 2 full threads, thought it would give the cup on the top of the pushrod some clearance, This is my first blown hemi (actually it's my third block and i haven't run it yet !) and i'm greatful for all the help you guys give :D

give manton a call they know most lengths used by other racers and are very helpful and can answer all your questions:confused:
don't learn it the hard way as it's to expensive when something go's wrong in the valve train

Don't you guys have to work out rocker geometry with these engines. Heads being faced, block height, valve length etc, etc will change your rocker geometry. When you get that part right then you can choose the correct pushrod length. Can the rocker assembly on these engines be shimmed or spaced? If so then you must calculate these facts. JMO!

Yes that tool sounds good, I measured up then made a couple of temporary ones on the lathe to check properly

I was running jessel rockers...different combo but I think this still applies...did not have the tool steel adjusters and at about two turns out I was bending adjusters a little. The tool steel adjusters fixed the problem. This is on a big chief head, turning the motor 8700 rpm in the traps.

Thanks Robert , I'm pretty sure mine are tool steel but they are the smaller 5/16" ball type (3/8 thread) do the larger ball type just screw in or do you have to change the arms ? this is on a Hemi with Dart/Total Flow twin plug heads, the rockers don't have a name on them, they look like stage 5 and are blue, any ideas ? actually they're the ones i had off you Danny, what are they please ?:D
