water jacket filler

    Is it true that you should fill your block before the final bore because the filler might oval or misshape the cylinder walls or can i fill my block without reboring it.

    Definatly fill Block before you do your boring,.it will help inhance the stability
    and trueness in the bore/hone job.
    dont know exactly on expansion or settling to the cement and its effects to the cylinder walls ,..but I could guess thats why people do it before the boring,..
    And you should wait atleast a week to two before you do the machining to give the block filler time to set and dry.

    Yes yes, I agree. Do all your machine work after you fill the block, whatever it may be, line bore, decking, boring, whatever it may be, fill the block first.
