I have a lenco drive in a pro mod i bought it from snyder new last year i have had problems last year and this with it creeping forward on the brake i have talked to snyder but they really didnt help much i have replaced clutches and mick says there is no correct pack clearance i was wondering how people was wiring these up i may have voltage drop at the brake? I have experianced this with power glides but snyder said it didnt matter with this any ideas?

I had this problem last year and found one of the retaining pins in the valve body was in backwards. This did not allow one of the pistons to fully open and reduced the fluid pressure to the clutch pack. This didn't ruin the pack, just made the car creep through the beams.

They creep sometimes....it happens. I keep my foot on the brake and when you launch it'll come off.

    trick of the week

Install a linelock on the front brakes activated by the transbrake switch. You don't let go of the brakes until you have the t-brake applied, so there will be enough brake pressure to hold the car while your on the button.

Same problem ! Mine was as jt said..when i cleaned the valve body, the stop for the plunger was put in backwards(only about a 1/8" different and does'nt allow the piston to fully engage all the pressure..also you can drive threw the convertor....if all is correct then as will recommends, the line loc....with our setup we can only leave about 4200 rpm .

The only thought i have with the line lock is it seems that when you engage the brake to shift from neutral to either gears it will not go till you take your foot off the brake and if the line lock keeps the brake applied will it let the car go into gear? Did you guys with the part in wrong have this problem every time? Mine seems to work fine about half the time?

We have one behind a Hemi. No problems creeping, but you have to have thick wires and a heavy duty relay to keep good amperage on the transbrake. Mick should've told you that.

What RPM are you at on the convertor? If we stage with more than 4000 it will push through the beams. A 2 step will fix the problem. Also as Will said, the lineloc works and also keeps the drivetrain slack from allowing the car to rock.

One other thought is ! We had to small of a battery and it did not hold the voltage when the button was held in for a long period of time (like e.t. Racing a 6.30 car and a 7.50 or slower ,you are on the brake and it does pull alot of amps). It may check at 12+ volts until you push the trans button in,check it at that time..we dropped to 7 volts from 12.7 ! But the battery was also 3 years old and sat in the trailer thru the winter,it charged up and checked good until you put a load on it...

    line loc

I never had a problem getting in and out of gear unless I was jammed up on the brake. If it was that big of a problem, you could have a toggle switch to turn on before you stage.

I did have that problem on each run until we fixed it. I also have a line loc on my brakes run through a switch that I activate right before I go into the prestage beams. Once we fixed our mistake in the valve body I haven't had any creeping since. I mash the brakes pretty hard in the beams just in case though and the launch throws my leg back at me to release the brakes.
