I know this directly isn't ITA topic, however it involves common info.
Has anyone heard how Tom Conway is doing with his ADRL injected nitro car?

    growing pains

as much as everyone wanted to see what this car could really do, they went through some bugs inherent to having the first ever a/f pro mod. they are trying to make the flywheel starter work like the other pro mods, and that is giving them problems along with some fuel system gremlins.

they did make one launch, and it checked out pretty good before it went into violent shake about 60' out. the car drove to the right out of the groove, so that may have caused the shake as much as anything.

    nixed

word I'm getting is that the AF/PM has been nixed for this weekend due to NHRA's threats to pull their sanctioning of HRP or any other track that allows anything greater than 50% nitro.

wonder how this will effect any match race dates AF teams may have, or even testing for that matter.

Might be the right time to let NHRA know what they can do with there game. Let them pull there sanctioning and see how much fun it would be giving all the racers back there money for the national event. It’s about time the racers and track owner stood up to them. NHRA is running there show like an spoiled child.

    AHMEN to what Hoakes says.

Look at the door that would open to start racing with what we have now,
and not what they think we should have for race cars.

    Video killed the radio star,.....

    Nhra killed the weekend warrior,....

    JUST SAY NO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is one of the dumbest arguments I've ever heard, and over a 50% Nitro rule for Roots and Centrifugal blown cars. The teams know they can't run it for NHRA and IHRA, where does the argument lie? How many still using a roots blower are actually taking advantage? The A/F motor is held to the same 94%.

Is the NHRA that worried about ADRL being able to put on a better Pro Mod show?

Question on the AF/PM. Was Conway tuning the engine or Joe Monden?

    Conway was tuning.
Reminds me of the junior high bully when they got to high school. Bully hadn't grown, but everyone else had.
NHRA hasn't taken care of racing. Others with the LOVE of the sport have stepped up.
I used to yell at my kid for saying it, but NHRA "bring it on."

    NHRA stand for

    NO
    Hot
    Rods
    Allowed

I love drag racing and the NHRA has done it good in the past but they really are killing the future of the sport.

It's called a monopoly, i've been preaching the ADRL is real racing for
2 years and better return on ur investment even if it is 1/8 mile, just wish they would allow long cars @ 100% ;)

Wooten says they're running 50% this week end.
Besides running a completely different motor, what changes are needed to go from 94 to 50%?

    800 cubes?

yeh i was wondering that myself. i don't see how you can up the volume enough to get enough nitro in it. at 50% will the thing even run?
