I remember seeing a thread about someone wanting to get rid of the reverse lever in their FC,replacing it with somekind of a throttlecable solution instead.
I think this was right after a (what`s his name....? )NHRA FC driver had an accident involving a rotating reverse unit....

I cant find this thread now and I`m thinking about maybe doing something similar in our Nostalgia fuel FC...
    Coward...? well yes..maybe..:)
We have a 78 Ken cox chassie with the engine 60" out and I kinda like the idea of not having a lever between my legs in this tight space (compared to newer FC`s)

I`ve had some interesting sitiuations with getting in & out of reverse, no problem though, and I`m curious if someone here has done this cable-thing before in a FC?

    Thank you for your time!

You might be able to adapt the Lencodrive dragster shifter that Snyder makes for RED's, it has a lever on the reverser that comes in from the bottom side of the slider shaft's pivot point, well out of the way of the precious parts, although I didn't care for the shifter itself, the whole system seemed to have a little more play than I would have liked. It had a 12 foot cable though, and that may have been part of the problem, with a shorter cable it may have a more positive feel to it.
