    Hello everyone!

I need info on oil pan seals for a Rodeck/BBC. I purchased a turnkey motor and wanted to swap the oil pan and now I figured out that I do not have the right front and rear seals. Does anyone know where I can get a couple of sets? I have already checked with Rodeck.

    Any info is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for a great forum.

What we have done is use a great amount of Silicone not the best thing but the only thing we have found to seal the front and back. We are making some spacers for it and hope that it will help. When sealing it put 3 times as much as you thing you need then add more :D So far with this we have not had but one leak and it was small

Make some spacers to fill the majority of the gaps that the little plastic spacers would have filled, and either glue or screw those in place permanently. That way, when reinstalling the oil pan, you can use a thin bead of silicone around the whole perimeter of the pan and not worry about having to build up tall excess beads at the ends.

    Thanks for the info!

I had a feeling that silicone might become my best friend.
