Degree for Engine setup in chassis

    Currently mounting a engine in a new Top Alcohol funny car chassis, and have set it up at 65 inches from centre line of diff. what degree should i set the angle of engine too.

    Set front of crankshaft center 9,1/4" from ground ;)

    My crank center is also 9 1/4 like previous post and sits at 3 degrees down

    our car is set up at 2 degrees down in the front, works great. if i were to ever build another car, that's what it would be.

    depending on the application, but I don't think most of today's AFC's are that high. most cars are about as low as you can get them without the pan sticking below the bottom frame rail. i want to say 8.75 or so. i'm sure someone can help me out here.

    Will; you're getting old, that used to be a good number.
    Today we have pan bags + bellypans.
    Willy200; nothing wrong with 9.5", for sure if you've got the -.400 PSI case.
