Does anyone know of any dye kits available or any way to possibly dye methanol that wont adversely affect the fuel system?

The lube I get with my methanol is a dark blue oil, it turns the fuel light blue when I use 1/2 bottle along with a whole bottle of power plus top lube. If anything the dye and lube helps your fuel system, it won't hurt anything. However, the IHRA and I think the NHRA doesn't allow for any fuel additives not even clear lube at Nat. events. They check for specific gravity and anything you add will change it and disqualify your run. You can run it at div. in the IHRA and owtlaw type races. Not sure about NHRA div. races... for TD and TS anyway. I'm sure Will Hanna can speak for the NHRA since he runs alot of their races.

NHRA div and national events have fuel checks at each. The fuel is checked for color and specific gravity after each qualifying and elimination win. I have heard of guys having their runs disqualified becuase the dye in the plastic of their fuel jugs had colored their fuel. Thats why I only use the clear jugs. Dave Germain
PS. why would you want to dye your fuel?

In addition to what Dave said, we almost got dq'ed at a NHRA div race because our alky didn't smell right. Checked out perfect in every way but they were concerned because it had a bit of an odd smell...

I am not looking for the fuel to pass any specific gravity tests, only a quick color check. What other types of dye could be used to dye it?
