I am running an MSD 10 Plus system with crank trigger on my NA injected Hemi. Like to set it up so I can take out timing or put it back in whenever or where ever on the track. What system would be best suited for this?
Would some additional MSD box do the trick (i.e. MSD 8979 + additional timers)?

The 8979 will do exactly what you want it to do. i ran one with my MSD 10 before I switched to a mag

So then I assume that it would be better to purchase the 8977 unit (boost sensing) over the 8979. This in case I one day would step up and run a force fed combination and have the proper ignition system wired and ready. I would think you could still use the 8977 without using any manifold pressure signal. Thanks for the comments and help.

With my MSD 10 plus I ran a MSD Digital muti step retard#8975 with dual delay timer Part # 7563. Its has 2 timing stages I would leave the line on X amount of timing then at .75 sec it would put back X amount of timing then at 1.00 sec it would put back the rest ( you can set when it comes back in whenever). What makes it so nice is that you dont need a lap top and its simple. Still have the stuff switched to a Mag if your intrested ill sell both units for $240 I have all of the direction also Let me know Chris 586-615-5225
