I have recent replaced a set of Goodyear slicks with a pair of hoosier slicks and set them up with Liners and tubes, on a PSI blown smallblock chev rear engine dragster TAD set up.
Could anyone suggest what pressures I should set the liners to and also the tubes as we went out yesterday to race and the dragster, blazed the tyres off the rims, we had the clutch set up as per previous runs with the goodyear tyres.

Search tire pressure, this has been discussed many times on this board. Here is a good link. http://www.insidetopalcohol.com/showthread.php?t=15725&highlight=tire+pressure

The tube is in the liner right? I woud say 45 in the liner and 5.5 to 6 psi for the hoosier. Did you have liners in the goodyears or beadlocks. I haven't run hossiers with liners this is just what Ive heard. I do no with a new goodyer2540 a/fuel tire on a beadlock and a screw blown hemi, no less than 6psi or it can wad up and look like something I've seen watching the Harlem globetrotter's.

what were you running in the goodyears? how low is the wheelie bar?

if you run 50 inners/ 6 in the outers she should hook pretty hard....

    Liners

    Hi,
    I've run 34.5 Hoosier & liners on a F/c. 45 pressure in liner & 5 in slick
    I have a mate in a F/C running Hoosier 50 in liner & 5 in slick.
Now I'm running 36" good year fuel tyres 48 pressure in liners & 6 in the Slick.
    All combos have worked
Hope this gives you a idea.;)
    Dave.

I've been running Hoosiers for 3 years. I use 50 in the liner and 6 in the slick...works great.

    Hossier tires

Thanks to everybody for the replies to date. in response to your enqiries here is some further information.
We ran liners and tubes in the previous goodyears and ran them with 33 lbs in the liners and 4.8 in the tubes. these slicks had wrinkles in the side walls.
The hossiers we ran with 20 lbs in liners and 5 lbs in the tubes, we had lowered the liners down prior to the run to 20 lbs as the slicks felted very hard and had no wrinkles in the side walls at all and still dont at 20 lbs.
The dragster runs a single wheel wheelie bar and is 4 inches off the ground.
