We have a KB526 w/ BAE Fuel heads. We bought the motor complete and since then have torn it down to inspect, etc. The problem we're having is the Stage V rocker stands don't mount flush to the head on the exhaust side. It's as if the previous owner for some reason milled the ends down, or we're missing some spacers? The weird thing is it came w/ a bunch of extra rocker stands and they're all the same. We're new to the hemi world so maybe this is normal. We called Brad and they were clueless why there was a gap. We thought we'd call Stage V and ask them about it, but they won't answer. The head doesn't look like it was milled in that area. Any thoughts?

years ago I had a Walt motor that had the same problem. I measured the gap and used a spacer washer about the same thickness. Worked ok for me. Dave Germain

The geometry seems fine cause it's fits good and flush in the middle, and towards the intake side of the head. However where the stud goes through to hold the exhaust side of the rocker stand down, there's about a 1/4" gap. A spacer would work fine i'm sure, we're just wondering if we're missing something or if it takes some special "stepped" stud? I'll try to get a picture of it this weekend.

well!!!!!! haven't seen this one yet...send pic:D:D that way I can say I have...call me if you need anything..we could machine them flat and then make a spacer and dowel pin them so they would never fall off when doing the heads.. I have done this before for several racers to help with valve train geomerty this would be a good time to make sure your push rods don't rub in the head and most of them do..but we can fix that when you machine the spacers<<<<.Dave 629-249-5909

    Rocker Stands

I have about four questions to ask about the problem. If you would call me I will try to pin-point the problem. I have seen this one other time and I think I can Help.
