IHRA P/M & P/S complementary car & driver entries

    Drivers in both the Pro Modified and Pro Stock classes will have added incentive to compete at all 2009 IHRA Nitro Jam national events. Participants in both classes will receive complimentary car and driver entries as well as three free crew entries for the entire 2009 slate.

    “Pro Stock and Pro Modified are among the most popular classes at all IHRA Nitro Jam national events and this was a way to reward these teams for building these classes into something special,” IHRA senior director of competition racing operations Mike Baker said. “They have elevated these classes through their hard work and dedication, so we are paying them back with complimentary car and driver entries as well as three crew passes. Also, in the current economic climate this is a time they probably need it most.”

    2009 IHRA Nitro Jam season will kick off at State Capitol Raceway in Baton Rouge, Louisiana March 6-8.

    when NFC drivers were called to the tower for their information, did I miss the call to AFC? The 8 car field in PS and PM sounds interesting,they'll probably get that info in the staging lanes from the jet car crew.maybe thats how they intend to pay for the free entry.LOL..where do we send our license for a refund?????good thing we don't have a hi dollar lawyer racing with us,,sounds like a class action similar to pro stock truck..still no official FU from ihra..(not to be confused with the former IHRA of days passed)

    I guess it is over for Alcohol Funny Car in ihra. It really is too bad because IMO they were my best class and it was always competitive. Most of the Funny Car guys will be better off getting away from them 2 assholes anyway. It is nice that they got down on their knees and begged Pro Mod and Pro Stock to come back by letting them race for free. Does anybody know what NHRA charges at Divisional races for motorhome camping or is it up to the individual track?? How would I find that out??
