what happened to the cackle?

    just got back from pomona and i have to wonder what happened to the cackle of the nitro cars?:confused:they seem to sound smooth and tame compared to years ago.shame as they used to sound fantastic with continuous bomb explosions trying to rip the motor from the framerails :)

    Do you think the 2000 dollar a drum nitro might have something to do with it??
    Bet they only had about 50% nitro in most of them.

    then why do i always see robert hight with a hydrometer. do you think he's reading it wrong?

    If any of you guys are not racing and want to here some cackling come visit us at the Nitro Chicken pit this weekend at the ihba world finals drag boat race at firebird raceway in chandler az.My pos has to stay home due to lack of funds.
