Waterman vs. Rage

Question; Which is the more reliable, best pump between the two? Waterman or Rage? Do you really need the steel housing? Going on a 557 MBR, 14-71 Kobelco Superman. thanks,Jessie

I recommend the Steel Housing. I have had both, the Steel housing is very easy to maintain.

I guess its all in prefference really....Ive seen good results from both the Rage and the Waterman and both can easily be serviced....Ive had more experience with a Rage pump but like I said its all about personal prefference really. The steel housing is pretty cool, but ive never had any issues with the aluminum housing either.

 

go with the rage. mike and sheila are great people and mikes pumps are awesome, and ready to use right out of the box. its a known fact the waterman pump has a cavatation problem over 9000 rpm and will need to be worked on.
