Anybody have any good or bad experiences with R&R connecting rods? http://www.rrconnectingrods.com/

One of the guys on here is using them and likes them with his Blown KB combo, just wondering if anyone else is doing anything with them.

    Thanks
    Chris

Ive been considering switching to these also?? Everyone I know that uses them loves them! I know Mike and he does make quality stuff. Now the Brooks rods weve had break on 1-run, TWICE last season! DONE with those!

Was wondering the same thing. Going to swap rods so I can hammer this motor harder and was looking for a rod I didn't have to worry about. Had been using Manley Super 70 Nitrous but Manley doesn't make Aluminum rods anymore and they were a little lightweight. Was considering C&A because had used them in the past with good success but looks like they may be out of business.

I'm sure this has been asked for before here but products change over time. Looking for thoughts or experiences on R&R, GRP, MGP, BME, Brooks, Fowler, etc. in terms of rods that can survive 2000-2500HP without being overly concerned that they will come apart every other run. Looking for longevity as far as average runs per brand before replacement and what RPM they are being spun to and boost levels.

Mike at RR is a great person to deal with.
We made 58 passes on a Roots SBC without taking the oil pan off. 7.20s 198mph at 3100 lbs
We made 40 passes on a PSI BBC without taking the oil pan off 6.70 at 211mph at 3210 lbs
Know one thing it’s all in the tune up.

I know people think I just pitch their stuff because they advertise here, but I've had the best luck across the board with GRP Rods. That's the rod Conway ran when he was still running blown stuff. Most of Randy Anderson's clients run GRP as well.

I've talked to people that were happy with the R&R stuff, just personally, I have no experience with them.

I switched over to the MGP ProMod rod several seasons ago. In sorting out this blown gas deal I now run I have a pile of torched pistons. Sometimes even torching into the rod. But those MGP's have not failed me once. They also use A-1 rod bolts which I certainly am thankful for. Good service too.

    Blessings.........Ron Clevenger.
