When we ran a Blown Top Dragster we ran either a 4.10 or a 4.30 rear gear.

i run a 3.89 with a 36" m/t tire that has 114" roll out. use a bruno + 3 speed lenco with a 1.82 1st gear ration in the lenco. i've tried both 4.10 + 4.30 w/o any success - they were harder to hook up with too much wheel speed. i really don't think the tire size is as important as the tire roll out. i've seen 34.5 x 16 tires with as little as 104" roll out and the driver doesn't understand why he cannot get them to work.

I have 4.10 now, just got combo going but I run 1/4 mile mostly. Only a few passes and don't know what's it crosses at yet. I am fighting tire shake everypass. Have swingarm 245" chassis. GY 1490's. Had as much as 7# of air but now back to 6# with shock fullly stiff and get now get a little at the top of low gear. This weekend David Strain told me he ran 3.90. I was considering changing because I have one already setup. But also considered lowing shift point down a little from 7500. So please educate me, 3.90 would spin less and increase shake prob?

GY's are also pretty spent, just wanted to run them since end of year. I have some Hoosier T/A take offs. What is your opinion of take offs?

    thanks
