NHRA Tech Dept. to conduct chassis, body certifications at The Strip
Jan. 29-Feb. 1





LAS VEGAS -- The National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) Tech Department
will conduct chassis and body certifications for drag-racing teams
during the 2004 Drag Racing Blast-Off at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor
Speedway. The first official 2004 test session for NHRA POWERade Drag
Racing Series professional and Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series sportsman
teams will begin on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004 and continue through Sunday,
Feb. 1, 2004.

"With so many new teams and combinations, we realized there would be a
tremendous demand for chassis and body certifications prior to the K&N
Filters Winternationals at Pomona," said Chris Blair, LVMS' senior
director of drag racing operations. "The NHRA Tech Department will be
here in force to assist those racers who want to get an early start on
their testing programs and avoid long lines during the first NHRA
POWERade Drag Racing Series event of the 2004 season."

In addition to the chassis and body certifications, NHRA officials will
be on hand to conduct Extended Technical Inspection (ETI) for NHRA Lucas
Oil Drag Racing Series participants. Racers in need of a technical
certification or additional race information are encouraged to contact
The Strip at LVMS at (702) 632-8213.

its 125 for 3 days friday saturday and sunday

 

How much is it for Top Fuel, or Pro Stock, or Pro Mod, or Pro Stock Bike?

Just to make sure what Top Alcohol's status is:

At the gate Alcohol cars will pay $125 for car and driver like any other Sportsman racer.

In the pits Alcohol cars need a crew like a Pro Stock team. (But we pay $50 per crew member)

Then, on the track Alcohol cars run times and speeds exceding all but two Pro classes.
