    Lencodrive

I only have experience with the Lencodrive, so I can't honestly say which is better.
I do have to say that I'd never change or recommend anything other than the Lencodrive based on the excellent experience and support from David and the rest of the Lenco guys.
Call David and mention the JamAir Special guys. He'll have a good laugh.
    Good luck.

The Lencodrive is way cool, and strong. Good way to go.
The B&J started out very similar, but changed a few things. They have air activated trans brakes, so fluid temp is not a variable in reaction times. Also, the B&J is not part of the first gear, so no blanket needed for the converter drive. Also allowing for more gear ratio options. B&J will work with Lenco or B&J trans units, but Lenco will only work with lenco. I think B&J's are much less expensive.
I have a pair of the B&J's and I will not be changing!

Go with a bruno drive. We use it, and a Lenco coupled to it. That way if you already have a Lenco, you dont need to buy new gearsets or anything. Im pretty sure the Lenco drive unit has different gear sets for it, rather than using typical CS1 or CS2 sets. BUT I COULD BE WRONG. The Drive unit and the lenco are separate, so IF you have a failure, only 1 or the other get messed up. If its a high HP deal, just get the BIG input shaft and it will be fine.

Lencodrive for me, they use cs2 gearsets. I have over 300 passes on mine, the only prob i ever had was the first time i ran it, we rolled the safety sprag, welded it up and haven't had a problem since. We keep pull it apart about every 50 runs, because it seem like we should, but it always looks like brand new. if you do the lencodrive call Larry Snyder for it. great service and always willing to take the time to talk, even 5 years after i bought it from him
