I just pulled my new PSI Deepthroat out of storage. It looked good when I put it away last fall but now I see the whole thing is covered in what looks like speckles of corossion. Was stored on a shelf in what I would consider a reasonably moisture controlled environment. Any words of wisdom how best to clean it up or do I just strip it & re-coat? Along that thought, who's good at stripping & re-coating? Thanks.

Why not just powdercoat it and be done?

Agreed. Black powercoat, or clear if it is cleaned.

I had thought of that, and I may in fact do so. Gloss black body to match the hood and chrome like lip to match the grille. Does anyone know if the existing PSI coating has to be removed before powder coating?...

A powder coater will strip it to bare metal before coating it.

I Always Wondered If You Could Power Coat Mag. Has Anyone Done It, And Does It Come Out Ok Or Start Peeling Later?

There's my Magnesium SSI 14-71 in black powder coat. The bearing plates are hard anodized, and the aluminum front cover is silver powder coat. The snout is natural aluminum.

The Enderle pumps have also been done in the same black. The Pioneer front mag drive has been done in silver like the blower front cover.

I have tried every common chemical that the engine would see, and even tried some things I know would scratch paint. So far, the powder coat is damn tough.

That's the new 'invisicoat' powder coating on the injector and valve covers. ;)

Brad Anderson Powdercoats all of his personal cars' intake manifolds and valve covers. Both Jay and shelly Paynes intake and covers are done with it, and Jays funny car components are done with it. Usually red or blue. I have also has an older set of Fat Head Mag covers done gloss black, and they came out awesome!! Just had to bake them twice as long, to get all of the oil out of the actuall magnesium before putting the first coat of the epoxy primer they use before the actual powder gets sprayed on.
