And this has what to do with clutches? Sounds like another scam.

I tack welded a threaded piece of titanium to mine before I sent it in for recert. Trick finished up the welding and approved it. I thread a bolt into it with a jam nut. Easy as pie- Dave Germain

Come on, Nitro, ............ be nice! :)
If the man wants to "feel" his pedal hit the bottom, and he gets the warm and fuzzies because he knows it's there, then let him! :D

Whats with all the snarling here? A guy asks a question and he gets a ton of back biting? I wouldn't run without a clutch stop. Otherwise the clutch arms will contact the hat and screw themselves or it up. Dave Germain

Without a stop, how would you set the air gap? It would be different every time or the levers would bottom on the hat with tons of gap.

I was told to get a clutch stop as to set the air gap and not over extend the fingers.I figured since this was a place for questions I would get some useful answers as I have in the past.Wont make this error again,if the maufacturer and many other reputable people feel its a good idea then prove them wrong or tell me why I dont need one and if you can tune it beter than them you win.

Obviously you don't have one so if you want you can fab one to come off the bolts that hold the can on to the motor, bend up a piece of steel and make it go to the back of the clutch lever and put a bolt and jam nut on it so you can adjust it, till over the winter, then send it back to who ever made it, and have them put one right on the bell housing.

Whoa!!! Rick, please don't take my response as a jab to you. Actually I was jabbing Nitro a little bit. This is a fantastic site and I learn something new nearly every time I get on here. It's in my blood to poke fun, now and then, so please, if I offended you, it was not intentional!

Sorry Rick if I gave you the wrong impression as well. Most trick cans have a stop on them. Not sure what brand you have but setting and controlling the gap is important in my experience.
