I now use a 28 foot bumper hitch trailer and 3/4 ton pickup for more than just racing. My wife is getting-no has gotten tired of unloading and repacking for every outing. I want to get an old air ride moving van and put in some good living quarters. Im tired of running people all over because "Im not using the porta john" type stuff. Most everything I do is low budget and Ill be doing the work myself. Id like some advice on ramp doors, winches and the like. Ive thought of putting the dragster up on ramps in the trailer also to leave room for a street car below. Any and all ideas will be helpful as would pictures.

Current car is only 235 in wheel base and has front and rear wings. I already have a tractor so power is no problem.

    Thanks, Jim

I am going to sell my 45ft. semi trailer that registered as a mobilehome. I am asking $10,000. If you aren't interested in purchasing it but would like to see how ours works you're welcome to come see. It has an aluminum deck from a roll back inside it and a winch to winch the car up. There are aluminum ramps for the low race cars to get up to the rollback portion. We hauled 2 cars so there is a second deck. The air compressor and tank is under the platform above where the kingpin is located. Above the kingpin is the lounge area. There is a large awning that attatches to the side and roof of the trailer. It is a pain to put up without 3 people though. It is wired for 120volt lights and receptacles. It has windows in the lounge area,A/C,and aluminum rims. I am located in South Sioux City NE.
    Thank you for your time,
    Kevin

If I remember right you had a pro mod Chevelle. Is a dragster going to fit right?

no you would have to change something. Probably a deck added after the roll back portion would be easiest. I wouldn't think it would fit as is. It may give you some ideas if you end up building your own. If you could find a roll back cheap it really does work well because it tips down and back. Good memory we had chevelles and then a studebaker.
    Thanks,
    Kevin

P.S. a long time ago Ed Hoover bought a trailer from Doug Herbet. He had a hoist that lifted the front of his up for more room. If memory serves me right he had to unload the dragster to get the car out. That would be kind of defeating the purpose though I guess.
