Cy Chesterman Crash

Sounds like Cy had a pretty nasty wreck in Topeka. Anybody know how he is doing??

 

i called the guy's this afternoon at the track and they told cy was ok,great to hear,but car pretty bad.

 

Cy didnt get hurt at all. Nothing is save able on the car. Right now Hutch doesn't know what Cy's going to do. Done for the season.
Car had to be cut in half to get it in the trailer.
I didn't get to make it to the race this time, but Cy went way left and thought he was going to hit Williams so it looks like he over corrected. The car went on two wheels and slammed into the right lane wall. Front part of the frame bent up at the oil tank and fuel cell so bad the wheels would be 1 foot of the ground. Body flew off and caused the car to roll down the track. I guess he went a 1/8 mile before coming to a rest, just before the sand.

The track was really tricky on Friday night. They prepped it pretty good after Cy's accident and that helped the final cars going down. Dragsters faired well, but the flops didn't.

The car did go over, lost the body, and then finished on it's side and he was out of the car before the Safety Guys got to him.

We're really glad that he's okay!!!
