I am thinking of going to air pods on my Lenco and getting away from the lever shifters. I have seen some info about setting up the pneumatics for this and my question is, I have seen it called "air" and also "CO2", are these the same or are there two separate types of systems?

    Thanks
    Corey

You could use compressed air or CO2 it makes no difference to the pods or system. We say air but we mean CO2 and CO2 is easier to compress to liquid in a bottle so it lasts longer.

The liquid CO2, how do you go about refilling the bottles? Do you get a large bottle and fill from it, or take the small bottles and get them filled locally (welding supply store)?

    Thanks

just get a 25 lb mother bottle to fill the small bottles with, make sure its a dip tube so that you get Liquid CO2. Make a fitting to go between the small bottle and the mother bottle and fill anytime you need. Have the large bottle filled by the local welding supply. As stated before we call it air shifted but its CO2. NOS will also work but thats a different story.

Nitrous tends to last longer in the bottle. Some say to not use it but we have never used anything else and never had a problem.
