Im looking to buy new pushrods for my hemi. the spring pressure is 350 seat. I will run about 9000rpm max. the old p-rods are 7/16 x .065 thick. I checked with a manuf. of pushrods, they suggested a wall thickness of .165  said I wouldnt bend them. I was thinking of going 7/16 x .095 thick, straight. any thoughts?

I just got a bunch of pushrods made by Smith Brothers Pushrods, really reasonable when you're on a budget. I think they were $16 each or something. Our old stuff was .095, but I got them made 7/16" x .120 wall. They can make them .165 as well, just figured .120 was enough...

    Manton Pushrods

If you have ANY technical question about structural integrity of a pushrod column and why it is so important to pay attention to what pushrod you use in any perticular application, PLEASE call me.I will spend as much time as necessary to get your pushrod issues sorted out.You really should be more concerned with quality and not so much the price. Call me about the price also.
    Sincerely, Terry Manton

Manton Rockers and tooled Steel Pushrods. Since the switch no issues or burnt tips. The adjustment stays true.

    Manton products,

When you look at the blown Hemi you see an engine that screams give me big thick pushrods, when you add up the combination of big valves, long rockers, terrible geometry, high cylinder pressure and poor oiling its easy to see why the pushrods and the rest of the valve gear takes such a beating.

Ps. Just cause the old pushrods lived does not mean they were not costing horsepower and wearing other components.
