Currently running a KB block that has been windowed through the oil gallery on the left side, but has been professionally repaired. We used to run a JP1 which oiled itself differently and ran removable lower rails which could be replaced.

Just wondered if BAE or TFX blocks oiled differently to a KB Block? Hopefully to remove that problem of having to repair basically a main artery within the block?

Not saying anything bad about any blocks in particular, the KB block we have is a very nice piece of kit, but unfortunately has that blemish from a previous owner.

    Thanks!

I have never owned a new BAE so i hold my comments to only KB, JP1 and TFX
TFX is far superior to those as far as oiling and durability
    all mains side bolted
    very srong

The BAE blocks oil great! Since switching from a KB to a BAE block we have not burnt a single push rod. We always had to oil the valve train before starting the car with the KB, but not with the BAE.
