Isn't the M5 the current generation Kobelco ? Don't they all come from DMPE ?

No, a m5 is all dmpe inside and out, very trick but over 10k. A superman k11 is still a Kobelco but with all of dmpe's mods. Alot of pro mod racers buy these blowers and then spend thousands more on mods by Davenport, Billes, Ford or Carl S. looking for that last % or HP.

The K-11 with every trick in the book is still not he M-5. The M-5 has out flowed and out boosted everybodys "best blower"on every blower dyno it has been bolted to. I dont have one, I do have the K-11 tricked out but want the M-5 that should answer it for ya.

    Two Words

    Hey ROD!
    2 words for ya!
    Kitty Litter
I hear that you are no longer going to be hemiless!
    LOL About time!
    Troy

P.S. I have a 14-71 M5 - So far I can't get enough timing out of it to make it down the track...Amazing torque and when I am smart enough to get it moving it truly takes off like a rocket..can tell a big difference compared to the K11 Superman!

Troy, are you running your cam straight up or do you have it retarded any? MY car wouldn't leave the line until Dave Harris got me to retard the cam 6 deg. Made all the diff. in the world, now I leave at 28 deg. of timing no problems.. Jody

    Blower

    Jody,
My problem was/is the transmission. We have a new valve body on the car for the Lenco Drive and it made all the difference in the world. Hamstra's were the ones who got us looking in the right direction at Maryland. Darren and John both told me I was gonna have to take a bunch of timing out at the hit to get it down the track and with the Tranny and Converter working like they are suppose to now...they are dead right. I damn near shook my head off in Maryland. worst tire shake I have ever had in my life. LOL I guess I should listen to the guys who run these M5's all the time. Anywho...we are hopefully back on track...I guess we could dial the cam back a bit but what is the fun in that....I know it will go down the track once we get some timing out of it at the hit. Headed to Martin in a few weeks to run the wheels off of it in preparation for the National in August. Keeping my fingers crossed that we got it right this time.
    T
P.S. You gonna make the long trip up to Martin?

Troy, can't make it that far north, I'm a southern boy LOL. Good luck and I want to see you run in the 5.80's at least. I got my grubby little hands on a PSI 14/71, hope to have it ready in a couple of weeks. Damn thing is over 28 in long, had to rework everything on my intake. I'll let you guy's know how it runs. Like Sheppard said my truck motor needs all the help it can get. Really glad you found something to work from, it'll be flying now. Jody

I nearly squirted my guts out of my ass trying to set this damn thing on the intake!!! Jody
