This from my friend Beserko Bob

Scott was killed just about a half an hour ago during the 4th round of qualifying at E'Town. Went off the end of the track, over the net and from what I heard impacted the guard rail at the end of the track.

    Very very sad day

That one hits hard. I've known Scott since before he got his driver's license.

When we were sponsered by Rolling Rock Beer, he used to come over to our trailer to sneak a beer before his dad got to the track. When his dad finally let him build his own car, he had to do all the work. Assemble the car, drive the truck/trailer (and not one of those glitzy 18 wheelers, but an old Ford SuperCab, and used gooseneck trailer) to the track, tune it, AND drive it, then fix what he blew up, which was a lot. The first was the injected nitro dragster, then the blown alcohol dragster. When he finally made the step up to Top Fuel , ironiclly at Englishtown, we all knew he was going to be a good one.

God speed, Scott, and my condolences to the whole Kalitta Motorsports crew. We lost a good one there..........................................

Scott was a man that lived life on HIS terms.

We should all be so lucky.
