I am helping a friend with his alky dragster, we just picked up a sponsor and lettered the car.

The sponsor letters are also on the butterflies, do they stay in place or do the edges start to lift, due to fuel from priming the blower?

    Thanks in advance

never had a problem with mine... i would suggest cleaning the blades really well with something that won't leave a film/residue first like wax/grease remover or lacquer thinner. also cut them where the throttle shaft runs thru as the tight corners is where the vinyl will 'pull' and allow fluids to get underneath and compromise the adhesive. i cut mine for the throttle shaft before i put them on and then 'eyeballed' them to line them back up. just cut a section the width of a throttle shaft (1/2"? someone can correct me there?) using a straight edge.

and fwiw... we just use alcohol in our starter bottle... with gas or gas/alcohol mix the results may be different?

Never a problem with ours, other than they are hard to get off if you want to change the color or lettering.

We've had ours for quite a while with no lifting. Just good old vinyl cut letters from Kinkos. The guys are right though: clean everything good before you put them on, and pray to god you don't have to change them until winter, when you'll have a lot of time to take them off. If sponsor pays enough, you can afford to have me come and take them off, as we can't find a sponsor.
