Hello all, this may be an obvious question but do MSD 44 amp mags lose there power? we have had it since 2005 and i change the main coil lead every season, and will use new leads for this season (as we only do 15-20 runs per year)

do they need internal parts replaced or is the fatique just in the coil wire and leads?

    thanks

According to MSD the answer is NO. There is nothing in the mag generator or the associated boxes that needs perodic maintenace.

Ok thanks its what I thought but wanted to double check.

Will be running new cap/rotor/leads this season just to be safe.

Yep, they do eat up ignition wires and rotors.
