    Hey Will and friends,

It's Trevor Sherwood and I just wanted to let all of my friends know that I finally made it to Iraq and this base is great. This place is so big that I bought a bike to get from A to B...yes I know it's not the funny car but don't laugh, If I drink a red bull before a pass I can go low 10's on the air strip...lol

I'll be working the night shift so I want to pre apalogize once again for any poor soul that I call at a weird time...we are 7 hrs ahead.

Wanted to say thanks again to Will Hanna and all of my good friends.

A quick update on the car, I should have the funny car paid off in about 4 months, not certain if it will be NHRA, IHRA, or both. Just need a truck, trailer, 10.5/11" MW rear end, support tools, a racepak, and a trip from Michigan to California and I'm about set....can't wait....Special thanks to Will Hanna for pointing me in the direction of my new dream ride, and to Jack, Joe, and Sam for helping me to realize a decade of dreams.

    A soldiers thanks to all,
    -Spc. Trevor Sherwood

    Good to hear from you

Good to hear from you and stay safe, and keep that head on a swivel. Stay away from those damned camel spiders if you can, along with the killer scorpions, sand vipers and other 'nuisances'.

You can catch some serious air with a Duesenhalf if you hit a waddy just right....

Keep us updated, and don't hesisitate to give me a call anytime bud.

    Lil Duece truck...?

    Hey Will and FC girl,

Good to hear from you guys and will do.

Will, They took our duece's away and I miss them greatly, however they did give us a 30,000 lb armored security vehicle... ;)

I almost ran over a mine and 2 rockets last night though while I was test driving one.....Would have crash landed in TX and stopped by to say hello...lol

Found out I can click off a high 9 on the air strip if a c-17 is landing behind me, Guess I just needed some motivation..lol

Well gotta go eat at the awesome Chow hall from heaven for now but will tryo to talk again soon.

I also wanted to give my condolences to the family of John Shoemaker, He was a great guy and will be missed

Hey Trevor, I'm in Afghanistan and I bet you are getting the same chow as here. I was in Kuwait (Ali Al Saleem) back in November and the chow was the same there too.
KBR..it's all the same, but it ain't bad.
    Be safe.

Trevor and Tom; I served all through the Persian Gulf on the USS Duxbury Bay in 1962, 63, 64. At that time I could see all this coming when I was involved in a conflict between the Yemen and Arabs near ADEN. I bet that the area has changed drastically in some ways and not at all in other ways.
Keep your eye on the ball and get back here to racing. Thank you for all that you do. Goldy
