    most people use a tall system 1 filter. it is very easy to clean, and pretty much trouble free. http://www.system1filters.com/oil_filters.htm
    make sure you use the 75 micron screen. the other screens are too fine when you use a heavy oil and alot of volume. they also have a nice billet mount for use with their system as well. hope this helps.

    Steve, Oberg was purchased by Holley. Their new ones are brilliant red annodized. We use the 90 screens because we use 70 wt oil. Mount the filter at 10* from vertical and they will drain and be easy to service. Or just go with the System 1. We just like the flat screens so we can see what came out of the drain.

    If you're already using a system one filter, stick with it. They're good and should work just as well as an oberg. No point in changing unless access is a problem.

    Obergs are still available;

    System one

    One thing I like about system 1 over oberg is the "catch cup" at the bottom of the system one housing (if mounted vertical). Bits and pieces that drop off the mesh seem to stay in the casted perferations for a little more read on what's going on (or away).
