What do most people typically do for the 4 hat fuel nozzles above a PSI screw (drilled ports in the mag case)? This is with a deepthroat injector with drop-in air director assembly.

Typical flat fan style nozzles for all 4 injection locations, or other shape? Point the fans down & toward the rear of the case?

Other options? Or, does it not really matter that much?......

    Thanks.

Opinions are like a$$holes, mine just stinks more than most. We were told by Fred Mandolini to put the 90* nozzles in,(45* flat on them) and point two towards the front of the rotors and keep them free flow, the back two poin at the rotors 1 1/2 back from the front and are on 6# cks. Our screw has never hurt a rotor,(please Jesus,no), and we're happy with Fred.

If I get your drift, you are saying put 45 degree nozzles in the front holes, and point the fans toward the front ends of the rotors. Then put 45 degree nozzles in the back holes, and point the fans at about 1.5" rearward of the front ends of the rotors? Basically try to aim down into the open rotor pockets?....

You've got it! Cools and lubricates and SEALS rotors, without absorbing too much hp. Atomization of the alky is good too and the distribution seems to be just right. Nozzles front to back aren't all that much different, but some other things come into play to set that.

    Thanks bobbyblue359....
A question for anyone with a flow meter on their PSI screw MFI deal, if I may.
Roughly what fuel flow rates (gpm or pph) are you feeding into the motor at both idle and stage? Just need some ballpark numbers. Trying to decide whether I can "idle down" 24 efi nozzles or whether I'll have to bank/stage them.
