I first want to thank everyone who put me in your thoughts and prayers, I do understand that just because you did not post something, doesnt mean that you dont care.(Im not big on posting) Reading what I did made me feel really good. All of you out there in this great sport of Drag Racing is my second family. And I belevie that alot of us feel this way.

As far as my condition, I part of my tounge remove, that is where the cancer was, I also had over 70 lymphnods removed on my neck, they were all tested and came back negative. So I feel so much better that the surgery was a sucess.
I just want to pass this along, my surgeon told me that it was good that the cancer was noticed early, that made a big diffrence on how my post treament was to go. I will put this in terms that you and I could understand, when something isnt going right with your car you need to see somebody who can help. We all listen to our cars after every run, so why not listen to our bodies when something doesnt seem right.
So in the next couple of weeks I will just be taking it easy and getting ready to see my freinds and family out at the races, its been a long off season. I looking forward to the 2008 season.

Thank You again for all of the thoughts and prayers.

Eric that is truly great news. I'm glad the prognosis is good. Take your time, as you said, "listen to your body" the car and the track will still be there when you are ready!
Look forward to seeing you at the track!

I went up to see ERIC the other night,it was night so I was allowed to park my truck in the driveway and go into the house by the FRONT door.I went up thinking that I was going to see the worst.Thank the good lord I was wrong.I don't mean to say that ERIC is going out and run a sub 4 min. mile but HE sure looked a lot better then I expected and sounded a lot better than HE did on SATUDAY when I talked to HIM on the phone. He has lost a couple of pounds,HIS hair was a mess, and HE couldn't yell at me but was so good to see how much better he was than what I first expected to see.He was having his nightly meal, pabblem and some fruit,it looked yummy.ERIC,HIS FATHER GRORGE,and I had a nice visit.ERIC feels that there will be no change is our race schedule for this year and HE and his FARHER are back in the shop working on the car for short times during the day.He feels good and will be down for another couple weeks.I told him I was very happy that all is going well for HIM and all of HIS tests were on the NEG. side, after all the TEAM needs HIM I think that I am to old to be a free agent.
I have to say that it was a good thing that I was sitting down when his MOTHER called me and told me about HIM.She is a GREAT TEAM MANAGER.I left there, before the sun came up,feeling very positive. The LOURIE'S are GREAT PEOPLE and a real credit to our sport. So again from ERIC and the whole LOURIE RACING TEAM THANK YOU.
