I WENT BY CHUCKS SHOP ON MON. (LABOR DAY) THE SHOP WAS INTACT AND APPEARED TO HAVE NO WATER DAMAGE. NO SIGN OF CHUCK AND NO SIGN THAT HE HAD BEEN THERE RECENTLY. LAST WORD WAS THAT HE HAD EVACUATED TO MISS. WHERE HIS GIRLFRIEND LIVED. I THINK HE WENT FROM THE FRYING PAN TO THE FIRE. NO ONE HAS HEARD FROM HIM SINCE SAT BEFORE THE STORM.
    I HOPE HE IS OK.
ALSO A.J. SERENTINE I BELIEVE IS WITH THE FIRE DEPT IN CHALMETTE WHERE THE BUILDING WAS UNDER SEIGE FOR A DAY OR SO BY SNIPERS. I DONT KNOW IF HE WAS INVOLVED OR NOT BUT THAT AREA IS SURELY DESTROYED. AJS SHOP WAS DOWN NEAR A LEVY AND PROBABLY WASHED OUT.
EJ JOHNSON I BELIEVE WAS FROM FURTHER DOWN SOUTH OF NO IN BELLE CHASE. HE PROBABLY SUFFERED MAJOR. I TALKED WITH RANDY WOP ROUSSEAU ON TUES AFTER THE STORM, HE WAS FINE BUT I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO REACH HIM SINCE.
I TALKED TO BUTCH "GATOR" (FORGOT HIS LAST NAME) RIGHT AFTER THE STORM. HE SAID HE WAS FINE AND HAD BEEN TO CHUCKS ALSO. HE HAD 500 GALLONS OF FUEL AND SEVERAL GENERATORS. I HAVENT HEARD FROM HIM SINCE.

I HOPE THESE PEOPLE ARE FINE AND HOPE TO HEAR FROM THEM SOON.

    Hello Everyone,

This is Mike Nicoll. I run a blown top dragster in NHRA/IHRA. Ramymond Rupert was at my fathers shop yesterday with his brother Jon. They are ok and I think just got power a few days ago. I think that he has also gotten in touch with Chuck Hasse. Our cable just came back online so I was able to check the web finally. AJ Seruntine is ok also. Last I heard he was on his way to Houston to visit his family. Like Harry said, most everyone is accounted for but communication is still limited. Have a good day!!

    Mike

TALKED TO CHUCK YESTERDAY (MON) AND ALL IS WELL AT HIS PLACE. WAITING FOR POWER TO BE RESTORED.
HEARD THAT WARREN DAUZATT HAD EXPERIENCED WATER DAMAGE IN HIS NO SHOP BUT OTHERWISE OK. DONT KNOW THE EXTENT OF THAT.
CHUCK SAYS EJ JOHNSONS PLACE WAS IN A VERY LOW AREA RIGHT IN THE PATH OF THE STORM AND FEARS THE WORST FOR HIM.
IF ANYONE HEARS FROM EJ I WOULD APPRECIATE HEARING FROM THEM. S

Ej and Emmy are ok....Their home is out in the country near Baton Rouge, so no flooding, just a lot of downed trees in his yard.EJ's family were able to get out of N.O., and are staying with them.
By all reports, they lost everything to the flood.
--this is what EJ's father in law told me.
