need to trim a trans blanket

    Any ideas on the best way to trim the holes on a trans safety blanket ?

    We use a metal scraper to trim nylon blankets occasionally or trim belts on blankets. Take the blade and heat with propane torch. Then press against the blanket or belt. If you had a set of steel hole punches for gaskets you could do the same thing.

    I have never tried this on Kevlar before.

    We've used a set of tin-snips to trip our nylon blanket. It worked really well, but have since switched to Kevlar and haven't had to trim it.
