Blower repair

    Who do you guys use to freshin/rebuild a 14-71? I'm in the midwest someone closer than the west coast would be nice...:rolleyes:

    Definately needs to be restripped...it's loose as a goose. It's a standard helix. But I just wanted to get everything checked to make sure it all looks okay.

    Is it possible to replace the white teflon without disassembling the rotors from the front plate and timing gears.

    jr does very good work...one of the best out there..and no you must take out the rotors...if you have never done this before don't touch it..call jr

    Hats off to JR.

    He mentioned several guys in his post that will do a good job on this blower.

    Just putting in teflon is not always the best solution.

    You need someone to look over the nylatron, check the timing, gears and any wear that you may need to be aware of.

    Any of these that may need attention can require machining or parts that you may not have available if you tear it apart yourself.

    I have seen too many of these being repaired at Gerardot's after someone tried to tackle the job by themselves.

    Check out the shipping and make your decision.
