1st of all do you need the long snout or the short snout to make your belt line up properly? The only situation i would know of that you would need the long snout would be if the blower was moved back..

The 2 holes in the bottom are for support rods to help stop the snout from flexing I believe .

Yeah we need to set our blower back 2 inches as its a retro.

    Snout is 5 3/8 long

Thought they would be for that just wondered if they lined up with exsisting holes/studs in the blower?

    Blower starter

first you need to measure to see if your snout is 3.530" in diameter if not then you need to cut it down or put a sleeve on the snout JR sells the sleeve if needed and yes the 2 holes in the bottom are for support rods you really only need to use the support rods if your snout is longer than 6 inches. those holes were put in there for the TOP FUEL cars that run that really long 12 inch snout. the guard and clamp works great it is really nice just make sure you tighten it up good and check it all the time if you don't use the support rods. but the main thing is the snout diameter. but give JR a call he will help you out he's the reason i know all about these because i got ours from him.

We will be using the 2 holes in the bottom may not be needed but will add extra rigidity to it. Ok first thing I will do is find out the snout diameter as I may need to order sleeve at same time.

    thanks for the replies.

    Got any photos??
