    Is it just me ??

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

is it just me or did anyone else see that the top 10 spots in TAD at Pomona were A-Fuel cars.

    1. Bill Reichert Rislone A/FD 5.222 275.73
    2. Spencer Massey Snowman Racing A/FD 5.249 275.06
    3. Morgan Lucas Lucas Oil Special A/FD 5.279 265.12
    4. Aaron Olivarez Tuff Shine/Lucas Oil A/FD 5.283 275.11
    5. Kate Harker TORCO Skull Shine A/FD 5.295 268.65
    6. Mark Niver Billet Machine A/FD 5.304 262.13
    7. Duane Shields Shortline Express A/FD 5.308 273.33
    8. Randy Eakins Canidae Pet Food/Red Line A/FD 5.351 257.58
    9. Larry Miersch Miersch Racing A/FD 5.358 263.15
    10. Diana Harker A/FD 5.377 256.31
    11. Jim Whiteley Y'NOT Racing B/AD 5.378 265.06

And then poor Jim Whiteley at # 11,

When is NHRA going to wake up and smell the coffee when it comes to parity of the Class, and then to top it off , Bill runs a great 5.19.1 in the final.
A blown Alcohol motor would have to bend or break every part internaly and run at Virginia Motorsports Park to even come close to that preformance.(
IE. Ken Perry two years ago )

As the Blown class pushes the envelope of the motor so goes the Parts

Is NHRA that blind that they can,t see the un-fairness in competion.???

    Cheers

    bla bla bla yakiti yak

I will beat you to it and call my self stupid already.

But wouldn't you expect the ADF to run fast in Pomona? also look at the entries for Pomona 26 cars. 9 blown and 17 AFD. you kinda have to figure that AFD will have a better chance. Top four Alcohol racers this year nationally were 2 AFD and 2 BAD.

Hey like Brandon Johnson said at Pomona in the winners circle this Feb " I have no regrets going to the Dark Side".

While the offseason will be good, please make sure to play these fun games Go ahead I dare you! have some fun.

    Status Quo

    TVP,
Pomona wasn't the exception to the rule, it's just the norm.

Is there any reason the blown cars haven't really improved since Duane Shields 5.26? What was that 5 years or so ago? The funny cars have continuously improved. Historically, haven't the blown dragsters always been .3 ahead of the blown funny cars? If Manzo goes high .40's shouldn't the blown dragsters run in the high teens? I believe Norm Grimes says there is a lot left in the blown cars. DID ANYONE NOTICE!

    Parity ? ? ? ?

You know I brought up this Parity issue a couple of months back and I got beat up pretty badly about it ! ! ! ! ! The Blown guys were talking about how bad they were and the National Horse____Run Around Association let me know in no uncertain terms that I had no idea what I was talking about and all parties were very satisfied with the Status Quo.........The first time one of the Blown Alcohol Dragsters goes over 280 mph let me know will you, as that is the true indicator of Horsepower.....I truly believe that Reichert has more in reserve for you Sheep.......................How about it Uncle Bob, Your true thoughts ? ? ? ? ? ?

Well thats two of us !

I Have to agree with you Larry, If I was a Driver / Owner and was going to spend big $$$$ to go racing, It would be nice to be able to win some times on a Good Tuneup and Driving Skills, with a fair chance to beat the guy next to me. Even Playing field !

Larry; I'm now up to three topics I won't discuss on a public forum anymore (NHRA & SFI seem to think I've gone senile), and lawsuits are not part of my agenda.
    1. quick release steering hubs
    2. TAD vs. A/F
    3. heat treated tubing (or T-shirts)
