What level would you support a B/AD only class

  1. I would attend 8 or more races, regardless of distance

    35.0%
  2. I would attend 3 to 6 depending on distance/schedule

    45.0%
  3. I would support it if was close enough and convienent

    5.0%
  4. I would only run NHRA events, no time/interest to support anything else

    5.0%
  5. I currently do not compete a B/AD but would compete in at least 4 races if this class happens

    10.0%

ATTN Blown Alcohol Dragster Teams - Please read & vote

There is a real possibility we may have an ADRL type series for the alcohol cars. In concept it would be an 8 to 12 race series spread out across the country. If the series had a B/AD only class, 8 cars, 10k to win, would you support it, and would you travel. If everything goes through, the series champion would win $10k. All events would be contested on 1/8 mile. NHRA rules would be adhered to.

Ideally we would space events out to where they don't crowd existing events in your region.

Please vote and comment. Whether or not a B/AD class is included depends on your comments here. If you do not have a car, please do not vote in the poll. If you would build a car or currently have a car you're not racing, please vote as such.

    Blown Alcohol Dragster teams only.

    3-6

    Will:
We would attend 3-6 (maybe more) on a heads up BAD deal. Think it would be great to have them linked with the TAD / TAFC, the more High HP 6 sec. and faster cars the better for the stands!

    Thanks,

I posted a suggestion on the other poll regarding attendance, and that I'd love to attend such an event. As for BAD only. You would have no problem finding 8 quality cars to gun for 10K.

I've said it before and will again, the best racing we see anywhere is in montana for the division 6 race. It is at 4000 ft. so AF's don't run well there and therefore don't attend. Those that do attened are primarily blown cars and you see side by side racing almost every run. We lost a race to Joey Severence there by .0008 seconds. We beat federlin by .003. When you have BAD vs. BAD you normally see good side by side runs.

And I doubt that the AF's would want to run the BAD's in the 1/8th mile format because from what I've noticed AFs charge from about 400 to 1000 ft. where the BADs are strongest from 60 to 500 ft. IE. The AFs would be whining about how the Blown cars have the advantage and theres nothing they can do to compete.... :D ;) :D ;)

Would this include TAFC as well? If it did, I'd be interested, we have a BAD and TAFC. A little curious as to why the 1/8th mile deal though?

I would assume 1/8th mile because you break WAY less stuff.

Think maybe we could have 24 inch wide tires and 6.33 gears too? Just funnin'. World Alcohol Racing was fun, and it made sense. Too bad they were underfunded and had some bad weather issues. It could work if someone got behind it who was serious and committed. NHRA would be what without the alky boys? SS is cool. Comp is cool. Would anyone come to see the super classes (8.9,9.9,10.9) with ten dollar hot dogs? Don't think so. NHRA would finally get what they deserve for treating the alky classes like dirt for the last twenty years. Count me in.

    nhra rules

All three classes would compete under current NHRA rules/weights.

There is a possibility of an 'Outlaw Pro Comp' class that would allow roots FC/Dragsters....As well as A/Fuel FC.
