Chris Kelly passed away Wednesday morning (Oct 3) following complications from a stroke he suffered Sept 21. Many racers that visit this site knew Chris from his earlier years at Venolia and presently at XRP. He grew up at the local dragstrips in Southern California where he was heavily involved with the racers, both pro and sportsman. Motorsports was his passion, his life.
Memorial services info to be announced.
    Godspeed my friend.

Chris was a guy that was always fun to have around. He really liked helping the "little guy" racer. He had a genuine love for drag racing. Travel safe my friend. RIP.

I had never met Chris in person, but spoke to him fairly often on the phone, neat guy and will be missed.
Somehow I had the impression he would be in his mid thirties ? Anybody know ?

Wow! I too thought he was way younger than that Bob. I spoke with him often on the phone and never dreamed he would be gone so soon as I perceived him to be less than 30 years of age. I will miss talking with him. What a great guy!

Any age is too young and 49 is way too young. My prayers to Chris' family and friends- Dave Germain
