How about some predictions on next season.

Not sure of the plans for teams but,

TAD 2005 Champ - Bill Reichert

But, of course would like to see some blown cars in the mix.

TAFC 2005 Champ - Bob Newberry

    My 2005 picks:

TAD - I'm gonna go with Ashley Force, finished season winning 3 of 5 national events and is driving great, wonder where she got that from???? lol

TAFC - I'm VERY biased here but I'm gonna go with Jay Payne, had pretty much the fastest car all year just needs to step up the R/T's and he'll be VERY tough to beat.

    Happy Holidays!!!!!!!!!!

I'll side with chance and put my money on Jay for funny car and Ashley for dragster. If other people worked half as hard as Jerry Darrien or Jay Payne there would be a lot more fast cars out there.

    Mike W,
Mike I am not trying to be cute here but working hard has little to do with it. The racing world is full of people that work hard. Working smart and having money has everything to do with it.
Darien spends more testing than most do in a racing year!

    Nitrohawk,
You're absolutely right. Working hard does'nt do much good if you're not working smart. I don't believe having money can make up for hard work, but it sure does make racing a lot easier.

i've been dodging this one, its such a crap shoot with the rules changes. will the blown cars make enough hay while the sun shines is the question.

tad: wells/thacker hit the ground hard early in the season both racking up in the win total. look for strong late season charges out of shields and howard to make this very interesting championship race at the end of the year. force will play a major spoiler in the hunt once again, but more than likely will be out of races by indy.

you'll start seeing the a/fuelers coming on hard by houston.

dark horse: kid o'bannon in new grimes tuned ride. if they can hit the track early enough in the year, could take it all.

    tafc:
manzo with a vengeance. he'll have a 5/5 perfect year. remember the dominance force had in 93 after cruz took the championship from him, this will look like that. payne, newb, chesterman and white will round out the top five.

dark horse: after chicago win, not really a dark horse anymore, but look for snyder to continue to refine the converter combo with scary like consistency.

I'm not convinced the blown cars(TAD) will be competitive yet. Most can't even run 5.30's. As for TAFC I'll go with Payne or maybe Chesterman.

Well, I've seen a couple of the A/fuel cars run already, and I think they're in trouble...
OBTW - They ran in "mine shaft" air..
