Do you have a boost pressure reading either from a data recorder or a gauge from the run? I agree with Gen, check you valve springs first. If they are good then you may have a ignition problem. Do you run a crank trigger or a distributor?

Checking the obvious that you don't have a leaking intake valve. Some how "fire" is getting to the wrong place at the wrong time.

Or............ it could be none of the above!

You didn't mention what engine you run, but on some (front panel) 426 manifolds a front discharge blower will pulsate the back of the burst panel (brand new doesn't matter) rapidly and blow it at any given place on the track. A double panel kit will fix it.

If it blows out at exactly the same time everytime, then reread all of the above.

This of course comes from "been there".
The problem with getting old is you've had more time to do stupid stuff!:(

I took my limiter chip out it was 9000 rpm and no more blown burst plate. Thank god it took me long enough, thank's for all the ideas really appreciate the help. Do you think 10,000 rpm is to much do I have a time bomb on my hands?
