Bac-Man Heads

    Has anyone got information or anything on Bac-Man Rat heads, what they like regards tuning and what they do or any technical info, can't find anything on the web

    What kind of info are you looking for? I run a 540 rodeck with Bacman heads in a sand dragster. Tune ups are pretty easy and straight forward..

    I guess to start with port sizes, valve sizes, head CC

    also what kind of timing do they respond well to? As I've read about different heads working better with different setups (will be with a Don Zig uprated Supermag III)

    we've got experiance running blown Hemi's but not a Chevy

    I will have to get back to ya on nozzles. I run 30 degrees timing and the motor loves it. Haven't hurt any parts so that goes well.

    If memory serve right, Bac-Man heads have independent intake runners vs siamese like the Ray-Nicks that proceded them. A baseline should be close to a hemi of the same era. They were a popular head on a Rodeck in the early to mid 1980s.
