Have Veney headed KB with oringed spacer plates between intake and heads.
Where is the best place to get the end gaskets used on the intake?
Have tried some dense weather stripping but cells are too large and oil wants to migrate through.
I have about 3/16" clearance between manifold and the retention plates on each end of manifold.

Brad, the tall deck Veney combo takes a little wider end gasket (side to side and front to rear) than most standard setups. If yours is like mine, the groove in the end piece is around an inch wide. Not saying the KB style won't work, but the ones I had were too narrow and felt like they may move around too much under pressure. If JR @RBS doesn't have the Veney specific gaskets, try:

    http://www.sassyengines.com/

They are heavy into Veney parts and service, talk to either John or Brian Knox. Don't know how long you've been running Veney's, but I've found out the hard way, there's just not much that's interchangable. Will find out this weekend if it was worth it............ :D

    Gasket Measurement

Do you have any unused gaskets that you can measure for length?
Are the ones you get square on the ends to match the intake manifold or do you cut the bevel on them? Just put my manifold back on last night. should have measured the width from head to head along the flat of the gasket support surface. I have a couple of pics that I could send you to see how similiar my set up is to yours.

Thanks to everyone for your help.

I don't want to order any that are too short.

    Brad,
The ones I got from Sassy were actually a little long and can be trimmed to fit, whatever the material is, cuts very cleanly with a pair of scissors. Scroll down about half way on this link, the ones I use are the pair in the middle while the others are the standard Mopar deal.

My block was modified with a top piece on the ends that hold the larger gasket. I can take a pic but I can't post attachments on here, not sure why, maybe a minimum post deal. I'll get the measurements later today and get them to you.

brad.........we use a piece of 1/8" cork gasket material( the kind that has rubber in it) and then a piece of weatherstripping foam on top of that. silicone in the corners, seems to work pretty well. you had the car out yet brad?

    Brad,
The large gaskets from Sassy are 9" long (about an inch longer than needed for a tall deck) 1" wide and about .455" thick. They will compress to 3/16 with no problem. Will PM my e-mail.
Darren, are you going to BG? Hope to see you there.

Brad, save yourself the headaches and make two strips of aluminum to fit. Seal it to the manifold with silver silicone and two screws. Underside has a groove cut for o-ring. goes on & off 1000 times without a leak and you can forget the gasket. We made ours with a lip bent on the inside,(showed it to NHRA Tech and they liked it), so it can't blow out ever. Ours is dry after every run and have been installed for 5 years now. They're supposed to be snap-together motors; no gaskets ever. make everything o-ring and you'll never be sorry.
