On a PSI/TAFC, I would like to get a good idea of how many discs & floaters a team would use for a 12-14 race season?

    Thanks

    Disc Req.

We run the Div 4 and a few National events with our TAFC and carry enough disc and floaters to swap out between rounds so as not to have to sand or cut any disc or floaters between rounds too often. Our plan is to have enough for three qualifiying runs and three/four sets more for eliminations. We always use fresh cut floaters on every run. We do sand the disc one time, reuse them with new floaters, and then take them home to recut. We never touch the flywheel or pressure plate other than to check it is still fairly smooth and cleaned with starting fluid. We evaluate our stock at home to see that we maintain enough disc and floaters of the proper thickness. usually the disc are kept until they get down to .290 or so and the floaters to .300 or so. Anything thinner and you run out of height adjustment and exceed throwout bearing travel sometimes.
