    How do the evacs drain on this setup? It appears there is a small valve below the evac hose but I dont see a vent.

    There is a puke tank with vents behind drivers cage,
    and the frame rail is sealed up forward of the burn down tube, thus
    the drain valves where you see them for draining the rails

    evac hoses

    Its in my blood

    Not wanting to change the subject or be too critical, but the first thing I would do is change those evac hoses.

    About 3 1/2 years ago at the Rockingham fall race those type of hoses cost us a complete racecar. The burst panel blew out very hard on a qualifying pass at about 1000ft, the heat from the burst panel melted through the hoses. The resulting fire and smoke blinded the driver, the car crossed the track and hit the guard wall at close to 200mph, went end for end a few time, rolled a few times and came to rest on its side just short of the sand box still on fire. This whole episode got the driver a helicopter ride to the hospital for a 3-day stay. Not trying to tell you how to run your car, but for the drivers sake you might want to re-think those hoses. The following year IHRA changed the rule, specifying a flameproof hose, oddly enough they necked name it the Stevens rule.

    Also if plumbed like the pic above ( I think Randy's car ) , I don't think you can run a flow meter between the k'valve and hat dist. block if you have a line running off of the hi speed tee to the port dist. block . If running a flow meter you must split the line after the flow meter to the distribution blocks .

    Jim T,

    Thanks for the tip. Scott and I will look into different hoses for the car.

    Any suggestions on what to use and where to get it?

    Dave,

    Yes, it is the Nitro Madness car. Good point about the flow meter. We don't get all the fancy gizmos for our old heap. ;) :D

    Sean70ss,

    I would go over the fuel system layout with you. It would be a long post and not to interesting posted here as most of the guys on this site are pretty advanced in that area. If you would like to talk about it, send me a PM and I will give you my number so we can discuss it.

    return preference

    different fuel system gurus will tell you different, but i've been told, when possible, it's better for the return fuel to go back to the tank rather than back into the inlet side of the pump. the returned fuel may cause turbulence in the incoming flow. so you may consider getting a return block like the wizard's one rapid's car has then returning that straight to the tank.

    Hoses

    Randy, I went to a marina a purchased marine grade exhaust hose, much heavier, these are made to go between a boat's engine exhaust and the exhaust outlet in the transom, this type of hose is fire and heat rated. Although this type of hose should be fine, we then took it one step further and covered the hose with a sleeve made by one of the bigger name hose manufactures. The sleeve has a 7 second burn through rating at 2000 degrees. Can’t remember who we got the sleeve from, maybe Tim can jump in hear and post who makes the sleeve.
