oil pressure

    have a tfx-92 engine. can someone please tell me where i can tap into to
    get an oil pressure reading? i went to the block nothing , went to the remote filter unit tapped in to the out side ran a hard line to the gauge nothing, changed the gauge an auto meter 200lb gauge and still nothing. also tried flex line nothing. when i tapped into the block went to the top rear plug.
    even spun it over with the starter nothing.
    auto meter gave me the same ideas as i used any help would sure be appricated.

    Have you primed the pump from the filter side? Take the line off to the filter and fill it with oil. Sometimes you have to prime the pump to pick up out of the pan.

    Did you spin the pump with a drill? and make sure your going the right way.

    Priming

    Gene is exactly right. Make sure that you pull the valve covers off when priming. Make sure that you get oil to all the rocker arms. Some other things to check after priming. Make sure that your mag drive is into the pump and the that the distributor gear is securely fastened to the shaft.

    And make sure you are turning it counterclockwise. It will take a fairly skookum drill becuase it may have to run for a little while until it pulls a prime. I have found that the starter doesn't really turn it fast enough nor would I want to run the starter that long. Dave Germain
