    Hi All

Had an interesting weekend and now my Lenco blanket is covered in oil.

What is the best cleaner / method of cleaning?

    Thanks for your help.

A trip to the local self-serve car wash with a stack of quarters.

5 gallon bucket of hot water, some laundry detergent, and a strong shot of 'purple power' cleaner. lather, rinse, repeat

ps... purple power is magic in your regular laundry too. i keep a sprayer of it by the washing machine and it will get out damn near anything. just soak it and wash like normal and it's safe too

    Easy to clean, Si?

Throw it in a smaller cement mixer w/ some hot water, a bunch of detergent, and a can of Red Devil lye/caustic soda. After about 15 minutes empty it out, and rinse a couple of times w/ cool water. And if you are a sissy, use some fabric softner...

Or IF you really want to cause problems, just go to your local coin op laundy and use their machines. That is where I go when I wash my grease rags. Also it is best to do it when its not to crowded. Why? Well cause one Saturday after I removed my load of clean grease rags (which left a big grease ring in the tub) a lady rushed over and put her slips, bras and other dainties into the tub with out looking and or noticing the grunge. Well my clean rags were just coming out of the dryer when she opened the washer to get her nice clean clothes which were now a grungy gray w/ some dark splotches on 'em... I did not get dirty looks, I got a really bad stare down, but all ended well as she blinked first...

WE just put ours in the shop vat and let it spray on it for a while then let it drip dry. Works fine.
