kb olds help

    im looking at a 97 or 98 block 10.2 deck . the guy said it doesnt have a starter pocket cast into the motor .are all of them like that? and have the blocks gotting better over the last few years? what do i look for

    Buy a CN billet block. You can have it any style you want it. www.cnblocks.com Or maybe New Century (previously Arias). Will give you a problem-free bottom end.
    Just an idea if you're in doubt re. the used ones. Best regards from Scandinavia.

    Fasttimes,

    We run a KB Olds 10.2 block with no problems, KB said it's good to 3000 HP, but we're no where's near that. KB sells an adapter that bolts to the block that allows for starter use. Not sure if it will fit between the framerails of a funny tho'......

    The KB olds I had had provisions on the bottom of the block to bolt a starter on it. it had a bolt pattern on both sides chevy starter or olds starter. Hope this helps. Kevin
