    norwalk
    Reichert 5.28 @277
If Bill when 5.10 at 282 with 96.5 I think that he can get it to run in the 20's with 96%.
Don't know about Rush the weather is going to a lot different between Norwalk and Rush

Why do you think he and others run 1/2% off of the number? Think about it. If Reichert ran 96.5% with a 97% rule, he will run 95.5% with a 96% rule.
You don't want to run right on the number and get bouced on a fuel check.

It will be nice to see some blown cars run some more low ETs and win some more events.

Hopefully, the class will be more equal and more exciting again.

Manzo is .12 hundreths off his all time quickest et...

    Reichert just went 5.25.

Blown cars all time best been 5.25 so that equates to a 5.37 based upon Manzo's time...

    .12 hundreths advantage Afuel cars...

95% or dare I say 90% here we come...

I'd say drop 'em down to 85% and adjust up if needed.

...otherwise this just seems like a mercy f**k to me.

Ken Perry was faster than all the other A-Fuel cars. Bill is just better than the rest right now. You cant base parity off of Bill's performance.

    Comparisions:

When you compare Bill to any blown car it has to be against the best blown car in the country or mabe all time best blown car.
He's that good. He's not only better than the blown cars he is also better than all the rest of the fuel cars. You guys will finally get this class dumbed down to where any good running blown car will be as fast as the best a-fuel car in the country then call it parity!!!!!!!

    Dumbed down? How ironic.

Perry is the quickest BAD of all-time, while Reichert is the quickest AFD of all-time. Perry ran 5.36 and Reichert went 5.25 this past weekend in Norwalk. Apples to apples comparison
    Saturday - Perry: 5.36, Reichert: 5.32
    Sunday - Perry: 5.41, Reichert: 5.25
Sunday seemed to be a little faster, so maybe Perry stumbled in Round 1. I don't think Sunday had a 5.29 BAD run (even if Grimes, Santos, O'Bannon, the guy that pumped out their shitter, etc were running there) in it though.

Is Reichert "better" than all the blown cars? Probably not, but his combination enables him to have an advantage over the blown combination. His combination doesn't make him quicker than the blown cars, but it provides him an advantage over the blown cars from the start. Reichert wasn't exactly a world-beater when he ran the blown combo.

Parity = ability for multiple combinations to run equally quick. I think your last statement is way off base. All I want is for the quickest BAD to have the ability to run as quick as the quickest AFD. The quickest AFDs have shown the ability to run as quick or quicker than the quickest BADs since the early 90's. In the last 5 years or so, the quickest BADs have not shown the ability to run as quick as the quickest AFDs. 5.10 anyone?

What is more impressive; a 5.30 run in a BAD or a 5.30 run in a AFD?

I didnt mean it that way. I meant just at Norwalk. I think that maybe they need to look at taking out the the fastest 2 cars and the bottom 2 cars in the top 20 and than see the average times with the new 96 % rule and see were we are at. There are always front runners who seem to be ahead of the others and a couple that are trying hard. If it still is way off then take more out. I heard that the only reason they changed the % was they didnt want anyone going that fast?(284)

    Just a thought

    Reaction Times

Since we seem to be so concerned about parity maybe we shoud also take into consideration average driver reaction times into the equasion!
And ow for the rest of the story.
